About me
Background
Love and loss have shaped my faith to be one infused with adventure, creativity, and deep listening to Source, body, nature, and other. My experiences have shaped me to (try to) live from the truth that each day is a gift, whatever it may contain.
A few names for God that have “fit” for me in various seasons have included Love, Mother God, the Divine, Holy Spirit, and Jesus. (… And I wonder, what name for God do you most need in this season?)
I have found home in an assortment of beloved spaces and places, such as the waterfalls of Ithaca, NY, the sandstone cliffs of the Red River Gorge, KY, front porches and gardens, soul-friends and adventure-buddies, as well as communities of fellow contemplatives on the spiritual journey.
Churches of various denominations have been a significant part of my formation, but never the whole. My experience has shown me time and again that God’s love extends well beyond their borders and people. The particular shape of my soul and life is one that delights in communion with God and others outside of church walls for the most part, although occasionally within.
Outside of spiritual direction, I enjoy songwriting, working and playing outside, and spending time with loved ones.
Qualifications
After sensing an invitation to transition away from working primarily as a rock climbing guide, I attended Sustainable Faith’s School of Spiritual Direction, where I learned to support others in the adventure we can all share in: ever-deepening life with God. I received my certificate in Spiritual Direction from Sustainable Faith in 2025. In addition to one-on-one spiritual direction, I also serve as a Community Host at The Light House, an online spiritual community of contemplative women.
In addition to these formal roles and trainings, I am someone who is continually learning and growing in my inner and outer lives. I am committed to receiving ongoing support for my own soul as well as continuing supervision and education for my practice as a spiritual director.
Approach
My approach to spiritual direction is contemplative, evocative, gentle, spacious, trauma-sensitive, and rooted in hope, compassion, and dignity.
I welcome women of all identities, faith backgrounds, and life experiences.
I respect and appreciate that there are many ways to experience, relate to, and name the Divine Presence.
My personal walk of faith and my training in spiritual direction are both centered and rooted in Christ.
I find it a deep privilege and honor to be present to you and your unfolding journey, wherever and however you may find yourself right now.
